Other Groups

Many groups and organizations other than corporations exist in the Array.

  • Dazaonics: This is is a spin-off sect of Sallumism, not Compact associated (although they honor both primary Edicts). Dazaonics run high ports around many independent worlds in the Heights of the Array.
  • Cult of Five: This is a nebulous movement that believes a secret cabal of five highly placed people from across the Array are preparing for the aftermath of some catastrophe. This conspiracy theory revolves around a hidden world where certain ceremonies were learned.
  • Ghendo: This is an order of wandering martial artists psions who specialize in awareness, enhancing their physical capabilities. They do not use weapons, and they are more powerful when on a planet to which they are attuned. They tend to be at odds with authority, forced servitude, and fanaticism. Some would call them ‘anarchists’, others ‘champions of freedom’.
  • Abolitionists: Some groups in the Array actively work to abolish the institution of slavery anywhere in the cluster. Though there are many such groups, each with their own limits to how far they will go, the over-all unified mission causes the general public to view them as one movement, and most of the Array are supportive of the cause.
  • New Road: A terrorist organization that has its roots in the Shadar Empire. They are militantly against the Shadar membership in the Compact, as they fight to restore the vision of Empire.
  • TAS: The Traveller’s Aid Society. They function here in the same manner as in Charted Space, and their role has long been interpreted from artifact tablets. TAS does not have status in the Compact, though they support the two primary Edicts.
